A brand for the next generation of Laithwaite winemakers
Whilst English fizz has grown in quality and recognition, most brands still pay homage to the generic glamour of Champagne.
When Henry and Kaye Laithwaite approached us to brand their winery in Marlow, we saw an opportunity to stand apart by celebrating the craft and risk of making the highest quality organic wine in the UK.
The name Harrow & Hope was inspired by Henry’s tales of breaking machinery on the rock-strewn former cabbage field that their winery calls home. This humble voice was reflected in storytelling and art direction, an honest take on organic UK winemaking: the mud, challenging conditions, and determination to make something beautiful.
Avoiding the familiar palette of cream and gold, Harrow & Hope labels stand out in classic English hues, evoking Farrow & Ball or Wedgewood. the story of hard work rewarded to alluded to with a subtle graphic emboss, changing texture where “Harrow” becomes “Hope”.
